FOR ESG PROFESSIONALS

Over the last 12 months The EBN has conducted a lot of research and we have spoken to a huge number of environmental professionals in corporates, large businesses, and SMEs.

There are two clear patterns which are emerging:

  • As businesses are faced with increasing challenges (and opportunities) based on their ESG obligations, the need to drive towards their own net zero targets and on-going shareholder demands for above average performance, boards need advice and guidance. The obvious people to turn to is you – their own environmental teams.
  • However, are enough environmental professionals aware of the business issues their board faces to have the credibility to win over hard-nosed and under pressure senior executives?

The EBN is driving the agenda of ESG from regulation and compliance to strategic development.

To help our members change perceptions about the environmental function the EBN will offer access to a free of charge business awareness programme, delivered through experts in their fields.

As your business works towards decreasing its emissions, reducing waste and eliminating pollution we will help you build the commercial case for greater investment in net zero and ESG strategies.

Through a focused programme of education, workshops, peer-to-peer sharing and inspirational talks, the EBN will help its members show they have the credibility to be listened to.

In summary the EBN will:

  • Offer a generalist business education and awareness programme to environmental
and sustainability professionals (E/S) in corporates, large SMEs and the supply chain.
  • Enable E/S professionals to view and research some of the excellent innovation in product and service development in the environmental supply chain through an
    easy-to-use, dynamic platform.
  • Provide online and face to face (when safe) networking events and webinars where members can make connections and share knowledge with peers and hear from engaging speakers

  • Promote the critical importance of every organisation having a sound environmental/sustainability plan hard-wired into their business strategy, alongside the commercial benefits this brings, and we will champion the case for having an environmental expert on every FTSE 250 board
  • Create a “One View” summary of as many environmental events, webinars,
conferences and exhibitions as we can find in the market.
